Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist

We’re looking for a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist who is passionate about supporting individuals and families, enjoys working within a team, and genuinely cares about client outcomes.

Canoe Therapy is an interdisciplinary clinic supporting adults, children, youth and families through Psychotherapy, Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Behavioural Therapy. We take a holistic approach, considering each person’s needs, experiences and relationships, and collaborating with their wider care team where appropriate.

The ideal candidate has:

• 2–3 years of clinical experience providing therapy to individuals and/or families.
• Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
• Experience providing ongoing individual therapy, with couples or family therapy experience considered an asset.
• Skills supporting clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges and life transitions.
• Experience using evidence-informed therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
• Experience providing consultation and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience in a private practice setting.

The role involves assessment, consultation and therapy for clients across the lifespan, with a caseload aligned with the clinician’s experience and areas of competence. Services are primarily clinic-based, with virtual sessions offered as appropriate.
